Scott Thomas- Obama's Graphic Desiger

In one of the most historic presidential election of this countries history I couldn't help but notice what a great job Obama's graphic designer did with his branding materials. While most Americans were captivated by possibly having the first black present in U.S. history and Sarah Palin I wanted to know who was designing Obama's website and branding material. The designer is Scott Thomas whose designs were sleek and appealed to young and old voters.

  1. That's an awesome find. It's alot different from the traditional style of political campaign materials that I have seen too. I found that they were very clean especially with the use of the bright blue and white shining light.

  2. Well as we all see, the appeal to young voters worked. I notice that one of the designs above is at a diagonal, which is something I have not noticed in any political campaign designs. The use of that particular blue also did the trick, I believe.

  3. I think Mr. Thomas did a great job in capturing the youthful, hopeful spirit of this past presidential election. It's very fresh, and I think it was a really good decision on his part to go in this direction. It definitely does appeal to my age group with the angles, color palette and sans serif typefaces.

  4. I would have to say that the designer understood the message Obama passed to the world. The beam of light coming from the an angel gave a visual enforcement that hope was on the way. He was the answer for hope.
